CLASS: INTRODUCTION TO FLY TYING
This class is composed of 4 sessions from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
The purpose of this class is to introduce the beginner to the correct use of fly tying tools,
materials and tying techniques necessary to produce durable and effective nymphs, streamers, wet flies and dry flies used
in Fly Fishing. The basic skills and techniques learned in this class will give the novice tyer the ability to tie hundreds
of different patterns. Although this is an entry level class, we have found that many intermediate fly tyer's gain a tremendous
amount from this class. Materials and tools are provided for this class. The class is taught by Dave Carpenter on the Angler's
Xstream staff. Fly tying is a skill and an art that is best learned from an accomplished tyer like Dave. The tyer will be
exposed to many tricks and techniques only learned through hours of tying. A variety of different types of materials and
hooks will also be covered. Cost is $60.00 and the class size is limited to five people.
